A Trip to Nara
While my parents were visiting we took an away weekend to Kansai and, in the spirit of doing every touristy thing in Japan all at once, we went to Nara.
Nara was the capital of Japan before it was moved to Kyoto in 794. It is famous today mainly for two things: deer and temples. You will see bith in the pictures below. Also it was a lovely autumnal day with beautiful leaves throughout the town.
We had afternoon beer at the excellent Nara Machi Craft Beer microbrewery. Strongly recommended!
